The Fish Market in Male Maldives is a must visit for seafood lovers and curious travelers in this unique tropical paradise. This hub of trade in Maldives is a busy place all through out the day. Numerous shops in the Male Fish Market are always stocked with fresh goods.

The best time to shop in the Male Fish Market Maldives is during the mid-afternoon when the dhonis arrive with their day’s catch. Be warned though as this is also the time of the day when the Male Fish Market gets extremely crowded.

Male Fish Market as a Popular Tourist Attraction in Maldives

The Male Fish Market is also a very popular tourist attraction in Maldives because of the rather interesting and impressive activities that take place. You’ll notice that the waterfront is always populated with dhonis or boats, loading and unloading various goods such as dried fish, fresh fruits, and vegetables aside from the daily catch.

Aside from offering the best and freshest seafood products in Maldives, some vendors in the Male Fish Market also sell a great variety of other local products at reasonable prices.

Despite being densely crowded, the Fish Market in Male Maldives is always neatly maintained and cleaned daily.
